| Supervision and operationsCerto Escrow B.V. is registered with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) as a payment service provider under Article 2:3d Exempt Payment Service Providers. As such, we are not under DNB’s continuous supervision but do fall under the conduct supervision of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). Since 2015, we have also been certified as a Collecting Payment Service Provider (CPSP). We comply with the requirements of the Financial Supervision Act (Wft) and conduct extensive customer and transaction checks. Every payment is processed via the payer’s own secure banking environment and held temporarily in our segregated escrow account. Funds are only released once the conditions are met. As with all financial transactions, there are several items you can check and precautionary measures you can take to ensure your safety. When a seller recommends you use Certo Escrow, please take into account the following. We only use Dutch trust accounts for our escrow services. All trust accounts are accounts of the ABN AMRO Bank, located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. All trust accounts have the BIC code ABNANL2A and their IBAN number starts with NL. We never use bank accounts from other banks. Certo Escrow never requests payment to an individual (or "agent").
